WHY TEAK?

Teak is a wood that is easy to maintain. It has its own natural oil and silica's that makes it suitable to use outdoors, where it is durable even when not treated with oil or varnish.
Teak wood reacts bettter in high humidity locations then most other woods. It is used in ship building for centuries, because of the ability to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures.
You can leave your teak furniture outside for the whole year. it will not rot. Even rain or snow will take no influence in its durability.
After a while the teak wood will get a silver grey patina which shows a boble and luxurious look. If you want to maintain its bnatural golden teak color just apply teak oil on the furniture every few months.
Little scratches or stains can be removed easily. Use fine emery paper and apply teak oil afterwards.
Even if your teak furniture has the silver grey patina you can restore its natural teak color. Just clean the furniture with a sponge and water. After the teak furniture is dry rough up the surface with fine sandpaper. Then apply teak oil and your teak furniture seems like new.
